The shoulder is a ball and socket joint with a large range of movement. Such a mobile joint tends to be more susceptible to injury, and as a result, pain.
Shoulder pain is usually temporarily and pain can be reduced by taking the following steps:
Rest: Try to relax for 48 hours after you feel pain in your shoulders. Be mindful when carrying a heavy bag on your shoulders during this time.
Ice: Put an ice pack on the affected shoulder for 10-20 minutes at a time, between 4 and 8 times per day.
Stretch: Try rolling your shoulders backwards and down 10 times. If the pain isn’t too much, also try squeezing your shoulder blades together 10 times.
Try Absorbine Jr.: Our Pain Relieving Liquid provides rapid relief for sore shoulder muscles, or pinpointed problem areas. Our Pain Relieving Back Patch and Ultra Strength Pain Patch work best for larger areas. Try cutting our Back Patch in half if you’re experiencing pain on both shoulders.
